curme
I always think, "Gee, what do they think of me?" Or I think, "Can wearing your pants like that really be functional or comfortable?"
Raum
I always think, "Gee, what do they think of me?" Or I think, "Can wearing your pants like that really be functional or comfortable?" Talkin about the younger skaters that wear the really tight pants? If so I'm with you on that one, I've got a somewhat tight pair, still loose fit, just tighter than my others....I don't like skating in them at all. revvo
Unless they try to do impressive stuff likr in a park or anywhere where they try to pull some stunt successfully, I'll just ignore them. Unless the person skates in the middle of the street and just tries to showoff and has no respect to the people who have priority like um, drivers, I won't have anything against them. When any person, skating or not does not respect the environment he or she is in, we then have a reason to bitch. That being said, it's easy to associate skaters with drugs so don't be surprised if parents tell their kids to just ignore the skaters and hop on the car. Sensayshun
Well, I think I should share. I only repicked up my skateboard about a month ago, but alreayd I'm really enjoying it again. Went to a carpark tonight, only had 3 cars in so not hassling anyone and they were all parked at the other end under the lights. Anyway, back on story, today I landed some new tricks and although I've got a few grazes I feel GREAT. Pop-shuvit, I havn't done one of those in years. A trick I do which I don't know anyone else who does, it's essentially a still casper flip, so when the boards on it's griptape I come along and flip it a gazillion times and then land on it. Hopefully right way up. Varial Kickflip, I only ever landed two of these before I gave up, and to land another one so soon after restarting is great. That's about it, there's another trick I can still do which is one of Rodney Mullens tricks, where he has the skateboard on the side balancing on the wheels/trucks. Didn't explan that very well, but I stand on it while it's like that and once again make it flip a gazillion times, I think it does a 360flip but with an extra kickflip in, and then land on it. That's the only trick I can do apart from the caspar thing which makes people actually stop. I do however know though, that next time I go there there's the basketball team waiting to deck me in, they came over and starting hassling me so I gave them lip  Was probably a bad idea. So, I doubt anyone cares about this, but I care, so I'll post it. I rock :p
alec F
i like when theres a cafe near a place where skaters hang out so i can sit a watch them fall off and lose many body parts you know i once made someone wipe out purely by accident he came up to make threatening me like that so i gave him a mouthfull of new rock playing DDR makes you good with legg movements well with all the crap skaters take from people, he probably didnt think u did it by accident..im sure if u said, sorry, i did it by accident.. he would of calmed down, or atleast i would of

Lanky
Raum, skate for yourself, don't worry about what any one thinks. Everyone has different opinions and likes different things. Btw that message board is a disgrace to skating.
Malisk
I just ignore them... It's as interesting to watch as a man sitting on a bench, unless they do something extraordinary. I'll only think negatively of them if they annoy people or get in the way... I never associate skaters with anything other than usually teenagers spending their spare time, but that's because that's what they usually are where I live at least, no more, no less. Lanky
Yea, most people arn't gonna find something there not into interesting. I skate everday but I certainly wouldn't stop to look at people rollerblading or bmxing. I appreciate what their doing, I just have no interest in it. eugnostos
If they are getting in the way of vehicular traffic, I will talk to them to go to the park areas. I have no problem with the sport. Just when they become a nuissance to me driving through my neighborhood. Time and place for everything. Also, anytime they leave their ramp, rails, etc out over night and they are in they way of me driving down the street, I will run the items over (after talking to them about it a few time of course). j.nudd
I usually stop what I'm doing (unless it is urgent) and watch a bit. I have an appreciation for how difficult it is, so I respect them. However, sometimes I am guilty of stereotyping against those who look like "dirty" people skateboarding, but generally I don't.

alec F
Someone who's wasting their time? do u play sports, baseball, basketball, football, ne thing liek that?..or if u dont play them do u think people who do play them r wasting their time?...cuz skateboarding is just as much of a sport as ne of those sports so if u think that skaters waste their time with skating then apparently u think ne body else who plays ne other sport is wasting their time to..
