Speculation that Sven has been sacked.

Well I know who I would like to be leading us to the world cup.

They call him psyco, he is currently manager of Manchester City.

Now tell me your choice.

think he's leaving after the world cup not before...

personally although i voted for fergie i feel that it should be a FIFA rule whereby all managers must be of the same nationality as the country they are managing... give it 10-20 years and they'll allow any player to play for any country ;x

Well I hear speculation he has gone already, hence the poll.

Sir Alex Ferguson I fell is to old, however, last thing the English team need is a Scottish manager.

I have a lot of respect for Alex, what he did with Aberdeen and Manchester United, though I think if he really wanted a national managers job, he would had taken on Scotland years ago.

Radio mainly.

Also from weighing up what has been going on past couple of days and also his own posture, the posture of the fa spokesman.

It makes sense for him to leave now. You have to view his track record on behaviour with certain positions available, the Chelsea gig, his affairs with a fa secretary/PA, with an ex weather girl.

I believe 80% he has or will be gone by Friday.

I had the same feeling in my water about Harry going back to Pompey.

I think I will have my first bet in 10 years and stick a tenner on him not to be England manager at 2006 world cup.

I feel he SHOULD go, the guy just behaves worse than most players.

BUT now is not the time. Could a new manager really get his act together in time for this summer? If so - then cool.

Agreed - the FA blatantly don't want him there any more - he has been an embarassment. And he clearly wants to be elsewhere. Good riddance too!

I think it is the right choice to leave after the world cup, leaving now would just cause so much disruption and it would be a race against time to get a new manager in.

I personally feel Sam Allardyce is the person i would have at the top of my list if i was the FA. He is as passionate as anyone, if somebody is doing something wrong, he will get his point across rather than just sitting quietly on the bench making weird substitutions for the whole match like sven, a great tactician and just look what he has done and is doing with Bolton this season and past couple of seasons.
