Septimus Posted August 14, 2002 Share Posted August 14, 2002 Hi All Just tried to install Mandrake 8.2 on a G4 Mac, bored and just messing around untill I get Jaguar. Anyway, install went fine, all hard drives partitioned correctly as far as I know but it won't boot. The boot partition is on hda8 so I command+option+O+F at boot up and typed: setenv boot-device HD:8//:tbxi (as instructed) but nothing, just starts the flashing Mac folder and question mark symbol on screen.
