I'm sure there a lots of bacteria and other life forms out there on various planets but the pure logistics of time and space will prevent us from doing anything about it in a meaningful way.

It'd be incredible naiive to think that there is no life on other planets. Just look up into the sky.. all the stars you see at night are the suns of seperate solar systems. Are you trying to tell me that looking up at those TRILLIONS of stars up there, the same billions of years of evolution that made us didn't happen on at least ONE other planet orbiting one of those stars?

It has to have happened, and I believe it very strongly.. there is other life out there.

However i'm not so sure we'll ever see any real proof in our lifetime of 'ET' :(

"The universe isn't even completely explored." <- heh we've explorered about as much as oh probably 0.0000000000000000000000000001% infact hell of a lot less than that of the universe ;). i agree to think that theres no other life would be stupid, as to if they will come someday. well we are sending men and probes to space so its safe to assume some other life elsewhere is doing the same and possibly more.

wow I'm the first person to vote no.

Personally, I think we're all too subjected to Hollywood and special effects.

I still tend to follow the theory that if aliens did really exist, it'll be the ones we create. i.e. AI

we are only one planet in this galaxy of many billion trillion fofillion others our their, what we know bout the universe is about as much as a baby knows about life as it pops its head out for the first time, so to say no their is no life you either have to be ever uneducated or every naiive , the chances of me knowing their isreal proof of life out their during my life time are slim to none, our reaches towards the stars hasnt progressed enough that much in the past 20 years to indicated were goin anywhere anytime soon in the galaxy

^ ergo cogito sum - i think therefore i am

if the baby has the ability to think, then it has the ability to recognise itself and thus realise that it is conscious and alive

I doubt anyone who knows me would seriously classify me as uneducated or naive. Most people who say yes are lead to believe there is life out there and life is really that simple to create. The fact that I think the way I do about life on other planets shows that I think differently and not simply sitting on the fence.

i think you have to think if theres a 1 in a gazillion billion or what ever chance of intelligent life on another planet existing... well theres a gazillion billion million more planets than that out there. so the odds are actually pretty high.
