To save space, who here re-encodes their mp3s at a lower bitrate? The actual encoder doesn't matter in this case.

Boy do I hate this new way of adding polls... Some mod please add 4 choices: Yes (48-128kbps), Yes (129-192kbps), Yes (193-320kbps), and No.

No, I don't do that. I can't stand listening to low bitrate audio. I have a sony so I could have re-encoded it all to ATRAC to save space but I don't want the quality loss. MP3 is bad enough as it is...

I have audios of TV shows on my mp3 player. Since it's mostly voices, I re-encode to mp3 64kbps cbr. 30min shows (~22 minutes) generally end up around 10Mb.
