Sony unmoved by Microsoft's X-Box

Recommended Posts

SONY COULDN'T CARE LESS if Microsoft cut the price of X-Box in half, says the Computer Entertainment Inc.'s president, Ken Kutaragi.

The company is looking forward to selling millions of Playstation2s worldwide in the run-up to Christmas and is unconcerned about competition from Microsoft according to Kutatagi, quoted in the Wall Street Journal.

Sony has shipped just over 30 million PlayStation2s since 2000 and Kutaragi reckons the number of games and the established reputation the console enjoys mean he's on target to sell 20 million consoles in the year to March.

And, he says the price-cutting game is over, claiming Sony isn't in the business of chasing maket share. "If they cut the price [of the Xbox] to half, I don't care," Kutaragi said.

At the end of June, upstart Microsoft reckoned it had shipped 3.9 million X-Boxes.

Stop posting jayp6969!

These forums aren't for people to post article about highly debated topics and then walk away proud like you started some hugh war.

If you have an opinion (which I don't think you do) about the article then post it here.

If you need an opinion go to slashdot, they hand out opinions to anyone as long as you are a mindless drone and will repeat their thoughts without question....

Wait a minute....since we all know that the Inquirer is the long-lost red-headed-step-child of slashdot, and you basically copied-and-pasted their propaganda, then we can assume that you have already turn over all your individual thoughs to Slashdot and the anti-MS crowd.

jayp6969 is a complete tool and shouldn't be posting this crap.
