Lindows aims for $199 PCs

Maybe for the first time since the tech bubble popped, people are talking about $199 PCs. Lindows, distributors of a version of Linux that runs Windows applications, states that they will soon be announcing a US$199 new (non-refurbished) PC. This PC will be able to browse the Web, get e-mail and run a, "...variety of software products." The machines will come with a version of Lindows OS, and be bundled with a trial membership to the Click-N-Run Warehouse, a storehouse of LindowsOS compatible programs that seems to not require any membership at the moment.
