wmp9 won't allow fast forward with mpg or asf file


Question

does this happen to anyone else? on my computer wmp9 won't allow fast forward or rewind with some mpg movie or asf file that are saved on the hard drive. they do allow it with avi file though. other than that it works fine. anyone know a fix?

WMP supports fast forwarding? I've tried WMP6. WMP7, and WMP8. Fast forwarding has never worked for me. I don't expect WMP9 to do so either. Last time it has worked for me was in WMP5 (mplay32.exe). It's amazing that XP still comes with WMP5...

wmp9 never worked right with any dvds i had

the scrollbar would always stay at the beginning so it was virtually impossible to fast forward through a movie

for me, on wmp9 fast forward worked...intermittently...

but Corona wouldn't play any wmv, asf or asx files for me.. ditched it.. back to 8 with the corona skin for now :mad: :mad:

For gawds sake, lol

so easy to figure out

the full bar isnt used, its only a small section at the start of the bar which is the actual video length

You'd think MS would be smart enough to use the full bar for the actual video length... considering the guy is loading from the hard drive.
