King Raa
I'm as British as you'll get:)) So what? From Viking land round about 500ad? Rome around 0ad or Saxon land round 1000ad . . . ? or are you from Africa who knows how long ago? And who said about Native Americans being able to claim non-immigrant descendency. They're from S.E. Asia originally last I heard? They walked over there a while back. . . (Anyone know actual dates for this?) Or does the term immigrant mean like, I dunno - can't think how it'd work. Maybe if you're bloodline was English since when England became England you'd be English non-immigrant?
costanza007
My family came from France to Canada in the 1670's and then from Canada to Louisiana in 1740. We've been here a while, in US terms.
leesmithg
british. All the way, gran was scottish though. Your gran is British also then! mate, Britain = England, Wales and Scotland. Technically (as it doesnt appear on the Union flag) Wales isn't Britain. Northern Ireland is.

Exactly !, Both my parents came from 2 different European Countries, I was born in Canada but live & work on both sides of the border (Can/USA), I also hold no allegance too Canada either, since I was not raised in Canada and was forced to move back too Canada against my wishes when I was 15, because of my parents wanting too move back. E t h a n
Technically (as it doesnt appear on the Union flag) Wales isn't Britain. Northern Ireland is. I think Brodel was right: Britain is England, Scotland, and Wales. Hence, the full name of the UK is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. :D
Brodel
Your gran is British also then! Technically (as it doesnt appear on the Union flag) Wales isn't Britain. Northern Ireland is. No, Norhtern Ireland is part of the UK. Otherwise the UK wouldn't stand for The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Wales isn't represented because at the time the Union Flag was made, Wales was already united with England.
