Kombatant
Here it goes... one of the most respected German sites, chip.de has reviewed the ATI Radeon 9700 full with benchmarks and everything against a Geforce4Ti 4600 and a Matrox Parhelia. The review provides us with the usual benchmarking that we all learned to love. But, this time, with actual numbers, not just percentages. I wonder if the NDA has been lifted...anyway go check it out for yourselves.. Things are just beginning to get interesting in the graphics arena :) The review : Here (You will need help from your trusty fish if you don't understand german, but the benchies are universal!) Fedr0
It's interesting to see that in Serious Sam 2 the 9700 fastly loses its first position and even falls behind the Pharelia... :ermm:

Kosh Naranek
I'm sure we will see a better performance in DX9 games /apps. However ... I'm a bit worried if the NV30 turns out the way it looks like it will turn out ... then ATI will be ... burried.

lmetza
oh god, thats pathetic for performance. I expected better from ati, i thought ati was hopeing to crush nvidia like a bug, but in opengl performance, you gotta be kidding me. the Ti4600 pulls ahead. Well ati will be crushed by the NV30. Cuz in a preview i read the the NV30 will apparntly be 3X faster the the Ti4600. So that will mean like 20000+ 3dmarks.
Kuja
Was reading somewhere the memory transfer rate for the NV30 will be around 40gb/sec. It will trully be a monster, and hopefully they will release Ti versions, with even more firepower.... :D EDIT: Btw, what ever happened to the Radeon 10000, and the 9500.... lmetza
I heard 3dfx makes ram now, Well it might not be for real. But a warp2search had an article on it. But since nvidia took over 3dfx i wonder if they will buy the ram off them (its its any good) but saying 3dfx made quality products i hope nvidia would buy the ram off 3dfx if 3dfx makes DDR2 at all. Would be pretty sweet though.
