DaddyMac22
Hi, very quick question, I have a PSP European version, bought in Ireland, going to the States soon and just wonder if I buy US PSP games will it play on my European PSP? I have surfed everywhere looking for the answer to this, and so far I have seen hints that games are okay for all PSPs but UMD movies have regional restrictions.. Anyone know for sure? Thanks Cormac :alien:
Keito
Games are region free, UMD movies are not.
dheaddy
Yep that's correct. There's no region coding on the games, only the UMD films. My jap PSP plays games from japan, the US and the UK so you're sorted. UMD films from the US won't work for you as they're region 1.
forster
In short, yes, if you buy games in the US, they will work on your PSP. However, some games come with firmware updates, depending on what firmware is on your PSP, you may have to upgrade your firmware version. Note that a US firmware update will still work fine on your PSP, and wont change anything in regard to playing US dependant UMD movies.
