SiLeNtDeAtH
First step would be to get a firewall. www.zonealarm.com
fr33k
the best you can do is put up a personal firewall that monitors inbound and outbound traffic like zone alarm you probably have a trojan so you should probably scan your computer for that, and if it's really bad reformat these are just ideas
Jon
REFORMAT???!?!?! LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a)i doubt you 'have hackers', more you've been port scanned, which is nothing to worry about. b)if you have trojan, anti virus software will remove it. Reformating is an incredably stupid+pointless thing to do. Jon
neowin_hipster
If you are being hacked you should send the log to your ISP.
kingrat
good idea....here's one further... instead of just sending the logs to your isp, identify the owner/isp of the ip addresses of the hackers/little bast4rds in your logs. A great way of finding out is to look up the IPs at www.radb.net. (use the find field in the upper left corner). This will return the registered owner of the IP block and basic contact info. then send abuse@whateverthatispis.com with the logs. the isp that you belong to may not be able to do a whole lot...most attacks happen from outside your home isp. hope this helps. mike

Jon
I'd bet a lot of money that the ISPs ignore the logs. Its completely futile, all you need is a shelll account, that starts to make you hard to trace, then bounce that a few more times, add to that the fact that they WILL be using sniffed dial up account details, and they become un-tracable. Its not worth even bothering to report. Jon
