OPaul
Why in the Olympics is it Great Britain and not the United Kingom? Great Britain does not include Northern Ireland, but in the picture on nbcolympics.com NI is highlited. Is the picture incorrect? Does NI not compete in the Olympics? Powa
I thought United Kingdom was just Scotland, England and Wales as it is one land mass united. Great Britain is England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. That's what I thought anyway. Brodel
Great Britain = England, Scotland & Wales UK stands for The United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland so = England, Scotland, Wales & N.Ireland. As far as the Olympics goes I don't know what is up with that.
