Why do you like washington so much. Last March I went to hawaii and my trip was incredible. I think about it all the time and wish I could go back. My local radio station has a contest that awards a weekly prize for a trip for 2 to honolulu. Wish me luck!

I'm not the kind of guy who likes "sand, surf and sun", i prefer raining and forests and stuff more, i hear Washington has that kind of stuff.

i think hawaii is just a place to visit.. not to live in..

so between cali and florida.. California wins.

one, i live in california.. besides that i don't like rain, humidity, and hurricanes.. don't tell me the earthquake bs.. it doesn't have 5 times a year like the hurricanes..

i've been to washington.. its freaking awesome. i loved the green and the forrest, but i'm not a fan of the rain so i'm gonna pass on that.

In terms of "paradise," you got that right. Meh, I don't find my state "paradise."

I've been to California many times and I love it there.

Ugh, all way too hot, I don't know enough about American states so I can't decide, but give me something with mountains or something.

In all honesty, where I live is my favorite place-southeast Tennessee.

We have the Smoky Mountains which get plenty of snow in winter, in the summer-we have the Ocoee River (place of the '96 Olympics) for rafting and crisp swimming, and plenty more natural lakes and rivers. We have the valleys where it doesn't usually get much colder than the 40's in the winter, plenty of big cities within 2 hour drive (Nashville and Atlanta), and the beach is just about a 4 hour drive from here. Plus, no earthquakes/blizzards/hurricanes/etc. The view is unbeatable when you get in the mountains and the air is very crisp. Great rock climbing, great hiking, great biking, beautiful waterfalls all over, it is just wonderful! And I prefer the river/lake to the beach anyday...salt-water gets old to me real fast. When i think about it, I love it here better than anywhere I have been!

for this, i defined paradise has some place you enjoy vacationing/living, not some place tropical, as hawaii automatically wins compared to cali/flor. I chose cali because you have just about every thing in the state -- snow, beaches, desert, forest, and more!

I've only been to Florida. Drove down there from St.Louis in 1999.

So I have to say the best paradise state in Americia is Florida.

Best paradise place in the world.............I would say Fiji.

lol, who the hell voted for CA? i live in CA! it's the worst state to vacation in. the living standard expensive is ridiculously high and there's nothing to do in the bay area besides shopping in SF.

thats your problem :p

move south.. and NY is more expensive.. and Washington has higher tax rates... Texas is not as expensive, but their property tax is about 3x more than what people in california pay.. if you ask me.. its pretty much even where ever you go.

Personally all those are either too hot or too humid. I prefer the state I live in, Colorado. It's so much fun! We hike, bike, ski, snowboard, and have fun in the sun in summer.

The winter's are pretty mild though we get a blizzard once in a while, which rocks cause then you can cuddle in front of the fireplace. The summers in the Denver/Boulder area are HOT! It's great to go hiking in the moutains where it's cool and refrshing in the summer. The evergreens are huge and the moutains are absolutely gorgeous, wheather it's rain, snow or sunshine.

In all the places I've lived Mumbai (India), Edmonton (Canada), Los Angeles (USA), and Boulder/Denver (USA), Colorado is definitely my favorite! I think the Rocky Moutains are a big part of me now.

in that list Hawaii. But I do think that the mountains look very beautiful. I love the West, Like Colorado, Utah, places like that. mountains look great.
