Well they're not bad. Only thing though is that you gotta sign up with MSN. You're kinda stuck with them. If you want to go with another provider you like have ot pay Microsoft 9.95/month for using another ISP on top of what you pay the other guys. That's the only downside.

Broadband is also available if you get the USB Adaptor. But again you gotta pay 9.95/month if you don't use MSN broadband.

If you wanna wait they might redesign it and launch a brand new product next year or something. They stopped manufacturing them in like Mid February. It's mostly internet stuff so it's up to you. like if you want internet access/IM in the kitchen but don't want a comp in there yeah it's perfect!

Yup. Just one more of their Failed Money Making schemes. If you ever saw the fine print:

2 Requires a $9.95/month charge.May not work with all ISPs,including AOL.

3 Requires USB adapter,$9.95 monthly fee.Does not work with all ISPs.

These are MSN Companions.

Not sure how that makes them greedy to actually (gasp), charge for a service offered. These are more for kids, grandparents, or the technicially challenged.

I'm more interested in the forthcoming eHome hardware, and new MSN TV set top boxes.
