What's New in this Version:

File Sharing

With AIM's new File Sharing feature, you no longer have to wait for your buddy to sign on so you can send him/her a file! Now you can simply designate a folder you would like to share; specify the users who can have access, and you're done. Each time you sign on, the buddies you specify will have access to your designated files.

New OS X-Style Preferences

AIM now uses the new OS X-style preferences. The updated artwork and toolbar-style allow for smooth navigation of the preferences window.

Additional AIM Plugin Support

Now you can simply click on a text file and AIM's new Contextual Menu support allows you to seamlessly insert the text directly into an existing IM window.

Auto Exit Idle Message

Most users configure AIM to go into Away mode whenever AIM is idle for more than 10 mins. Now AIM also offers a quick way to exit the Idle/Away state when you return to your computer. Just enable the Automatically exit away mode check box and when you move your mouse or click your keyboard, AIM will automatically close the idle away message and update your online status.

New Event Actions

AIM has added several new Events Actions in preferences. Users can assign custom sounds, run scripts, and automatically log various events as they occur in AIM. For instance, you can configure the "File List Requested" and "File Transfer Requested" events to automatically write to a log file anytime a buddy accesses your shared file list and/or requests a file. With access to over 26 events in AIM, there are many tasks you can automate. Go to Prefs>Event Actions, to learn more.
