Prosidius
Me and a kid are debating what brings MS more money, I say Office and he says Windows. What about you?
tehrealmccoy
It's obviously Windows. Sure, Office may be more epxensive, but more Windows products get bought than Office products.
leovanham
I'm thinking Windows, people first buy windows then if they need office theyll buy it.

Gabureiru
I think is office, since is more expensive, but, it has more market share (less competition)

EZRecovery
It is Office, Server 2003 and OEM licenses. Our revenue growth for fiscal year 2005 was driven by growth in licensing of Windows Server operating systems and other server applications, licensing of Windows Client operating systems through OEMs and increased licensing of Office and other Information Worker products. Davi
You need Windows to run Office correct? So I guess its Windows and Office for example all the schools install Windows+Office but some home users only install Windows they don't install office. Also think about server licences they are expensive
+Biscuits Brown MVC Posted March 9, 2006 MVC Share Posted March 9, 2006 Well here is the definiative answer (as of July 31, 2005). According to their fourth quarter reports Windows wins in both revenue and operating income (but not by much). You can look at the quarterly report yourself here Microsoft 4th Qtr Report

boogerjones
Office is MS's cash-cow. No. The financial report posted earlier clearly shows Windows profits greater than Office by at least $2 Billion (~25% of the reported Office profit).
