xorian
Since we've had a few discussions on #neowin about what IRC clients we use and why we use them, I'll ask the same question here. I didn't come up with many other popular IRC clients other than those listed, so sorry if I forgot to mention your favorite one :) My favorite one is mIRC with Noname script. Especially the newest version 4.01 with the lag meter, status bar and the treeview make it a must for mIRC users. :) Edit: For the record, Noname script, hIRC, Polaris, Fractal, ircN, .. They're all mIRC scripts. Edited March 11, 2006 by xorian
The_Decryptor Veteran Posted March 11, 2006 Veteran Share Posted March 11, 2006 X-Chat Aqua ftw. it allows me to write and use scripts in Ruby, Perl, Python and TCL, i cant do that with mIRC (cant run mIRC on a mac either, but that's another story.) oh, and it supports Unicode (and so does mIRC 6.17), plus add that together with the font subsystem in OS X and i can render most languages by default (tried Russian, Chinese and Japanese, all appeared fine for me)

Draconian Guppy
mIRC customized with MTS engine, and Undernet User Script. I hate scripts that use dll's for anything. So it's no-dll script ( Eg mdx.dll noname.dll) used to be pnp 4.22 but it's kinda outdated
