    • Yes, but but I have too many channels. The other packages suck even more so I stick with what I have

TV. Most of us have televisionat home with some sort of cable or satellite service.

Whatever you get on your television, is it worth what you pay for, regardless of what you're paying ranging from $0 to $whatever.

I have Austar as well as FTA. I have been thinking of cancelling Austar because all they show is repeats, repeats, repeats of same shows that was on when I got it 2 years ago. Austar is not really worth the $70 pm for me. I can get the shows from the net for free. :yes:

EDIT: Broadband/Cable is scaring the PayTV industry because people can get the shows that is on PayTV off of the net for cheaper or nothing.

No, they're cutting the WorldCup ... both cable companies we have. And these are the only companies we have here, and there is nothing we can do, unless we pay for sports packages ... which not everyone can afford ... so not I'm not getting what I want and I'm paying quite good money.

God no. I get 4 channels where I live for the basic rate. (No Ch.5) I can't even get Freeview - at all. Sky is slightly messed, you get the digital distortion on your TV quite a bit. No mobile phone signal here apart from Orange either. You can only get two radio stations - BBC Wales and BBC Radio 2. Any kind of cable is out of the question - solid rock here, so no Telewest/NTL services either.

I'm done.

My tv sucks, I don't get any thing in sharp and it is just rubbish :wacko: but I have found this nifty online site :shifty: and I never get something I could just buy in the store...

$100/month for total choice premiere --> http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/learn/Packages_Comparison.jsp

we've got 1 tivo receiver and 2 regular receivers we don't have to pay for.. some sort of loyal customer thing i got over the phone once :D

today they're coming out to rewire our system from outside and inside and add another receiver for my room.. for free.

now that is what i call EXCELLENT customer service.

Join the club. 4 channels here, not a perfect signal, cant get freeview, not even with an aerial upgrade, cant have sky cos my parents dont have credit cards. But, we do have more radio stations. Oh and same for the poor mobile phone signals, part from orange is worse than others, o2 seems to be fine though.

I have ~100 channels for $80 CDN per month, what a rip off! It just repeats, and the only new stuff in on channels I can get with an antenna (CTV). The all movie channels suck as well since they just show stuff that failed in movie theatres (there are rare exceptions sometimes). Another thing that ****es me off is the fact that there are ADS on all TV channels even though I pay so much. I can understand them on the free-to-air channels, but once you are paying, its different (thankfully my PVR gets rid of most of them).

LOL, Cable is alright here, for $16.99 USD we get about 28 channels ranging from FOX/NBC/ABC/CBS + Local Stuff.

Also, I have free digital cable (Some extra channels) for being a loyal customer :p.

Honestly though, I don't watch, and neither does anyone else. I personally don't like the timing of tv shows so I do what I want and download the shows that I like and watch them when I want, I mean hey...I am paying for my cable so I don't see a difference since I can't watch my shows at the time that fits me.
