Trillian questions.....never used

Question

Iv been hammered here and there by online friends for only having MSN messenger and none of the other chats.

Do I need to install those other chats like AIM,YAHOO,ICQ,in order to use this?

The reason I tell people I don't have the others is I don't want to install them because of all the crap they all come with when installing them.

So do I need to have all the others installed to use Trillian?

Also,is the free version going to do since I'm really not all that much a chatter?

Thanks in advance for the reply :)

in trillian

there are separate connection buttons for each of those different types of chat clients.

you dont need to have yahooIM or AIM installed to use trillian.. trillian is a complete replacement. :)

No you don't need to install any of them to use trillian, all you need is an account with those im providers, thats it. The free version is okay, but I would definitely consider about using the pro version, has lots of options and features.

Forgot to mention, thats what I like about trillian if you dont have an accout with those im providers, you can use their add an account option(choose the medium) to click and create an account with no problem. Easy as 1-2-3.

Sorry, forgot to ask one more thing.

As for the free version VS. the $25 version.

I don't really have the money right now and want to know if I will be regretting it in the end.

Is there really that much that a lite chatter like me might miss?

Thanks in advance :)
