Personally, I think it's hollywood BS. It's shollowness in its ugliest form. How can you possiby fall in love with a person just because your eye fell of him/her?!

Yet, it's still regarded by many as a pure form of love...puzzling, really.

There are so many different types of personality out there... for some love at first sight will exist, for others it won't and will just be seen as nonsense. It's not something that should just be dismissed, however it is overplayed by the TV / movies, media and society. The people that dismiss it immediately are as bad as the people with such absurdly unrealistic expectations of love.

when i saw my gf i knew i had to have her. may have been lust but i didnt JUST wanna bang her.

So when I saw my girl and knew I had to be with her and/or had to bang her :p it wasn't love at first sight, lol..

on topic, I do believe in love at first sight, since you know you're meant to be with someone if you feel it that way just by looking at them   that make any sense? :pinch:

Never actually experienced love at first site but i did tell my ex gf who is now in a different country that i loved her after one week of dating. We sort of had speed dating where one week seemed like were going out for a month and a month seemed like we've have known each other for a year. I never had that kinda thing happen to me before and at first it was kinda scary.

As someone said before, the definition of love is different for everyone... not only that, it changes as we get older too.

I'dont think "love at first sight" exists, chemisty at first sight yes, but not love....

Well I don't know if this belongs to "love at first sight" or not.

However, my gf and I had chat many times online before we met. 'Till the day we met (We had never seen other's pictures yet), we felt in love right away. And yes, we still have been with each other 'till now almost 6 years already.

lust at first sight - it's all about chemical reactions and the human urge to reproduce.

love comes later.

I was just about to say the same thing! It's called "chemistry at first sight" Love for a person or other takes time, pretty much like most other things in life! ;)

Sort of. I think it's more likely that you fancy someone, then realise over time that you like them more. 'Love at first sight' is probably just lust.

It's happened to me three times, so I sorta believe it. Maybe disturb3d's right about it being a kind of infatuation or intense fascination. Whatever it is, though, it's a powerful thing that grips mind and body like a rush.
