Partition Magic 8.0 Released

Recommended Posts

Partition Magic is the only real harddisk manager for DOS, Windows 3.x, 95, 98, NT Workstation, OS/2, Linux, Windows 2000 and XP. Partition Magic makes the creation, deletion, resizing, splitting and re-combination of partitions easy. All this without reformatting! Convert partitions: FAT to FAT32, NTFS and HPFS, FAT32 to FAT, NTFS to FAT and FAT32, primairy partitions to extended and back again. Partition Magic stand for the safe management of every harddisk.

Partition Magic contains BootMagic for switching between operation systems at boot time. The usage of Partition Magic is simplified with a wizard-interface and batch-functionality - which enables the user to specify multiple changes and executes them in order.

Note: Currently doesn't support Windows .NET Server 2003, for those of you wondering.

It has a new interface (XP style), XP buttons, a (new?) Browse feature, and it shows the changes you've made instead of just counting them for you. It's pretty impressive, but the "copy partition" feature doesn't work for me :(, it makes a partition that's too small, then says there's not enough room to copy.

EDIT: In a while, there might be some mirrors here
