leesmithg
I am asking a couple of questions. I have currently been running this ops (xp pro) for near on 4 years now. I have installed and uninstalled a lot of freeware, shareware and even postcardware. I have always made images, so any problems, I do a restore without a hitch. What do you think, time is 10:34:gmt so I will give it an hour. I have a week off so can do a slow install with all my apps toboot. Looks like poll went odd, top question without radio button is a question just comment please.
+Dick Montage Subscriber² Posted April 3, 2006 Subscriber² Share Posted April 3, 2006 You haven't said that your computer is acting up, playing slow or anything, so I would suggest not!

Laurë Veteran Posted April 3, 2006 Veteran Share Posted April 3, 2006 Do you need to format? Is there any real benefit? I can't see why you would want to "just because".
leesmithg
I decided to format and then restore a 1 year old image from 3 DvD's. I also had some bad sectors on my HD so I repaired them also. My windows drive is now half the size it was this time yesterday. If I were to format and then spend 8 hours per day reinstalling software, drivers and updates I would be here till Friday. Charun.nl
Dude, After you reinstalled ( you are doing so ) make an image of your drive. If you need to format again you got it back-up in like 15-20 mins. ( reinstalling for me + proggies, updates and games takes me about 2? hour, if i just do the imagte thing it takes me 15 roughly )
