Mother upset over porn in brand new DVD player

Recommended Posts

Looks like her kids were never taught about sex from their mother so the DVD did it for her. I'm telling you, people these days find anything and everything obscene and offensive, especially these kinds of mothers.

I am not a parent but I live alone and am 24. I understand why the wowan is upset. Have any of you any idea why the laws was in place which restrict children from accessing 18+ only content or enterainment? Huh? Same reason as locking children out of volience. If children was exposed to porngraphy, they might become rapists, prosisutes, or do heavy sex acitvities which in turn exposes more children. Because the kids are not ready for this sort of thing. They should be tought basic sex education, not real-action porngraphy which is too much for kids.

My parents did not teach me and I did not understand myself until Year 9 in which I was tought in two different classes to the intent of how our reproductive system works and they work together to produce a new person. And I understand about it perfectly without the help of my parents. If there were any more information I needed I just google it over the internet.

There hasn't a definate link between porn and rape and women entering into prostitution. In this case they were only exposed to a few seconds if any at all. Their mother's reaction could have more of an impact than their exposure to porn.

I have a 9 year old son and if I was in this position you can bet I would be ****ed. Why? Because I dont want my son being exposed to such material at a young age like this. I do not need him getting a twisted exposure of what porn sex is from what sex really is. No matter what any of you say it is a big deal and I for one would not sit happy that the control I have over what my son does and does not know at his age level is ruined.

Kinda sounds like fraud to me, how can she prove it was in the player?

this is correct, BUT wal-mart messed up by apologizing and asking her to return the player. they pretty much admitted to being responsible, when in fact they might not have been. who's to say she even had a porn dvd in the player? it's all heresay, no proof whatsoever.

I don't understand the problem. I could watch porn (secretly borrowed from my parents) when I was 6 without having any psychological damage.

Kids these days...:no::

Oh yeah, when I was 6 I found my mothers 'Joy of sex' hard back book under her bed.

Didn't turn me into a fruit n nut.

I don't know why some of you are so quick to blame the mother. If it's one thing that I have learned and practice, never, NEVER pass judgement on someone else until you have the full details of said event and can judge in a fair manner. For all we know, it did happened to her and if so, her reaction is a logical one. Why are you all bashing her in the first place then? If it had happened to me I would be angry. What would you have done if you were in her place? I'm not saying it's wrong to give your opinion but until solid evidence say she cried bloody murder and was only doing it for the money, I say reserve your judgement until all the facts have been laid out in front of you.

"It's very gross," said Taylor. "I saw body parts I've never seen before."

She has obviously been ridden more than the local bus with 3 kids, I doubt there is much she hasnt seen before.

Well, the article didn't specify it was a new, factory sealed unit. Most likely it was a return from another customer who is wondering where his copy of Super Slut Sex Challenge 4 went to...

So it was you who returned the DVD player

Oh noes! my 13 year old daugher has caugh a glimpse of a porn movie! What will she turn out to be, a pornstar? A sex addict? :woot:

Good lord, give it a rest, anyone of the age of 13 years has watched porn or has seen the opposite sex naked :)

I think she (the mother) just needs to get laid or something, she's obviously missing something in her life.

What truly questions me, is how people like that can reproduce...

If your shocked of 3 seconds of anything, in such an amount you need counseling...

i think the funniest part is that parts is plural.. what other body parts could this 13 year old girl have seen that she hasn't before besides a guys wang? shes a girl.. which (hopefully) means she has those girly parts.. andddd i don't know what else is on a porno like that but she might have seen one body part that she hasn't before, but certainly not more than that..

what the heck, shes going to be knocked up in 3 years anyways.. might as well let her see what she'll be getting into.

Oh, if she's 13 I'm sure she's already seen a few wangs in her lifetime.

A 13 year old who isn't aware of all her body parts?

Hell, when I was at boarding school at 13, porn was like hard currency - "dude, I'll swap you my new Penthouse Black Label #14 for two Galleries and a Swank".

I won't even go into the whole morality of sex issues that this woman clearly has.

Awsome (Y)

In the meantime, Bettis is now exploring her legal options and also plans to have her daughters see a counselor.

lol just like every other American the first thought in her head is how can I sue someone  and why on earth would her girl need counseling...is she planning on being a nun and never have sex? The mother should use this as a learning experience for her kid...Also when you think about it something does not seem right, when she first turned on the dvd player, shouldn't she have opened the tray to put her dvd in? And even though the dvd player had been off it "started playing hardcore" right off the bat..no menu :/ sounds a bit off

No, just a moron

I love it how people here are so quick to judge. Everyone here is quick to judge this lady, you are quick to judge me. and why? I'm stating my beliefs on this subject.

Do you know who Ted Bundy is? Have you ever read his life story? Well it started out for him by catching a "little" glimpse of porn at an early age. He goes on to say that from that little glimpse it planted a seed that ruined his life and many other innocent people. What most people dont understand is that porn even just a small glimpse can begin to distort your thoughts on men and women and what true sexual intemacy really should be. Is it so bad that some people want to preserve the normal and true nature of sexaul relations with man and woman?

Cleveland, TX? Not far from here. A very small town. As a parent, I do not want my kids exposed to porn. Regardless of what a lot of you say about not messing you up, how do you know? From a person's own perspective, they think they are perfectly normal. However, others may perceive them as nuts.

I am going to wait and see how this plays out. The actual atricle does say that the DVD player box did not appear to be tampered with and Apex did not return phone calls. Plus the picture looked like a purchased DVD and not a burned copy (just from the label, I didn't see the underside). If what is being said is true, someone at Apex screwed up royally. Sueing is not the answer though IMO. To sue, there must be proof of damages, and there isn't any in this case. A jury in that small town may see it different.

One final note, I love how everyone here is an expert and knows everything. You may be surprised, some people don't like porn.

thats awesome. and she has kids!

What do you expect from a country where a nipple causes national TV channels to start pre-censoring programs?

You may be surprised, some people don't like porn.

You may be surprised, a lot of people don't really give a rats tushy if they see porn.

A normal person who doesn't care for porn would take the DVD out, throw it in the trash and forget about it but in the hickieland they make it into a big circus.
