Germano
Originally posted by OPaul Check you didn't remove CD_Clint.dll, it's spyware that Kazaa doesn't like having removed. Germano
Note that the primary objective of Kazaa Lite is to avoid spyware, not pop-ups and banners. Diet Kazaa doesn't prevent the instalation of spyware. They are complementary tools. Look at this text in http://www.k-lite.tk : Diet Kaza is an add-on for KaZaA (Lite) that will give you some options to customize KaZaA, and enables you to search multiple times, giving you more search results. Currently there is a free version with less options, and a deluxe version ("with lemon") that has all the options. The deluxe version requires a $1 donation or a postcard or another kind of contributionOf course you can also use a dummy cydoor file, but Diet Kazaa don't have anything to to with that. As they say in their site:Diet Kaza is freeware and legal addon program for KaZaA, Grokster, or Morpheus.

John S. Veteran Posted September 24, 2002 Veteran Share Posted September 24, 2002 why is everyone scurrying to the lite version...the .dll mentioned above is only for the ad that KaZaa runs. see who can figure this out, I was using the latest kazaa lite before 2.0 came out. Once i heard 2.0 was released, I installed, tested, scanned for spyware, found the dll mentioned above and removed the dll. After attempting to run 2.0 I got the same error msg someone just posted. My KaZaaLite icon actually points to the speedup.exe, I ran it and it picked up 2.0's exe....hows this possible? they're in different folders. But it works...I guess I just made my own kaZaalite

Precisely... It is installed, loaded into memory, but just can't communicate with who's "spying" you...
