What do you say when you answer the phone?

Um... When you answer the phone you say Hello. When you call someone you say Hi or Hey.

How could you say Hi? or Hey?

with caller id, since you might know that person :whistle:

" What Do You Want " or " What Do You Need " the word " Yea " usally goes in front of both, but not always

Hello, Hey, What's up, This is the person to whom you are speaking (my latest fav that usually is followed by a long pause on the other end), radio station call letters (WXBQ, etc..fooled my wife with that one once)

It all depends on who's calling me

i say sup ... or hello ... or yo .. or mmmmmhhh ... depends on my mood and not on who the caller is (i did that to my curent boss "What do you want" phrase and he hired me ... :D

I say 'Hello'. What I don't understand is when you phone someone and they answer saying "Hello, *then quote their phone number". What's the point. I know the number, I just phoned you on it???
