Vb 2.2.8

2 hours too late ? :s

I just spent 3 hours getting my localhost matching our forums then updating, and readding each hack... last time I didn't compile a list of our installed hacks... now I do...

I think 2.2.6 will have a similar update process... not sure if any other files will have been changed tho.

Yep already spotted it EP. The problem with that, though, is that you can't use the "open link in new window" method with the links that are using the mouse-over effect, because then the current window is used instead ;)

Come again?

What I was saying is that altough you can't open the link from teh clickable tables in a new window, you can still click on the text to open it in a new window as normal.

I get the forums up and ready then I am told we are preparing to redesign the site layout :p

Well at least my code is safe :)

Don't do it

on my site << spam >> when ever someone tries to update there profile they get a weird error nothing that a page refresh won't fix. But that just shows you 2.2.8 is a bit buggy

As well as replacing the files, did you run the admin/upgrade21.php ?

Works fine here, even after reinstalling all my hacks... was a bit of a scare at one point but it was my fault :p

Be warned that it is a release candidate.. maybe it's a bit too late though :D:s

Thats the way vbulletin work, they release teh final code and release it as an RC to ensure that there are no major bugs, after a few days its status will be updated to final, without perhaps even the file changing.. if it does I am sure they will provide the files that needed to be changed which I doubt will be many.

Yes I know, I am a vBulletin customer for quite a while now ;)

Also, I would suggest getting the update once all the major/minor bugs are cleaned out; better to leave the board how it is now, and working well instead of upgrading when the upgrade isn't fully tested yet :)

Yeah I was upgradeing from 2.2.6 so i ran upgrade 20 and 21

There are no errors on the board and this really isnt an error but sometimes when someone goes into the user cp and saves something they get these weird codes instead of the page
