Gary King
Just when will they come out with vB 3, instead of giving us these silly security patches? lol :D Nice catch there, only 2 hours late lol :)
Tim Dorr Veteran Posted September 24, 2002 Veteran Share Posted September 24, 2002 and we were just worryin about how to uprade neowin from 2.2.6 to 2.2.7 with all of our major hacks! :s :s :s
Electronic Punk
2 hours too late ? :s I just spent 3 hours getting my localhost matching our forums then updating, and readding each hack... last time I didn't compile a list of our installed hacks... now I do... I think 2.2.6 will have a similar update process... not sure if any other files will have been changed tho.
Electronic Punk
Got a cool mouseover effect on em too now, check em out if you know where they are :)
Gary King
Yep already spotted it EP. The problem with that, though, is that you can't use the "open link in new window" method with the links that are using the mouse-over effect, because then the current window is used instead ;)

Electronic Punk
Come again? What I was saying is that altough you can't open the link from teh clickable tables in a new window, you can still click on the text to open it in a new window as normal. I get the forums up and ready then I am told we are preparing to redesign the site layout :p Well at least my code is safe :)
Mike11212
Don't do it on my site << spam >> when ever someone tries to update there profile they get a weird error nothing that a page refresh won't fix. But that just shows you 2.2.8 is a bit buggy
Gary King
Be warned that it is a release candidate.. maybe it's a bit too late though :D:s

Works fine here, even after reinstalling all my hacks... was a bit of a scare at one point but it was my fault :p

Yes I know, I am a vBulletin customer for quite a while now ;) Also, I would suggest getting the update once all the major/minor bugs are cleaned out; better to leave the board how it is now, and working well instead of upgrading when the upgrade isn't fully tested yet :)
DWZ
I think i'll wait till it comes out of RC before I upgrade...
