Now, I don't have a Myspace account and it's not because people are being murdered but if so many people are being killed on it, is it really worth it? If you have a myspace account, don't judge this based on, "oh no!, i love my myspace account, i just love talking to Brandon, who cares about some people being killed." Really think about what's going on. I think shutting it down would be a good idea cause there's so many millions of people using it, and the killings would be reduced. I just wanna see your opinion, I don't care if you think this is stupid.

That's like saying we should shut down pen pals and garage sales. Personally I don't think it should be shut down but the majority of the population definately needs a crash course in the general state of humanity, people just trust too many people with too many things too much of the time.

Well....hmmmm... a lot of bad things said about myspace.

People get murdered, beaten up, raped in society.

myspace doesn't cause these, it's the members, however, I don't like myspace thats why I don't visit lame sites such as it.

How are people "being killed on it" ??? They find some way of killing people over the net?

No, I do know what you mean but you did word it badly.

I voted no, it should not be shut down.

My opinion is that these bad things happen in society anyway. Myspace is just another way for rapists and murderers to find victims. If they didn't have Myspace, they would use other websites. Take away the internet and they would just go back to the old drag someone off the street/attack the neighbour's kid etc.

Just as everyone is taught about "stranger danger" in real life they should be taught the same lessons for the internet. Which does mean Myspace has some responsibility to educate it's users. The ability to take almost anything and turn it to other uses and abuses is both a blessing and a curse to humanity.

you havent heard? people on myspace are dropping like flies. There are bodies all over the place and... they are dying in strange ways.

Some people where talking about halusinations before they... you know... passed on.

Some say they saw a little girl following them and others say they saw a ball roll toward them, then explode and lots of bugs come out.

Its most strange.

I said yes, not because of the deaths or murders, which I don't give a flying pluck about, but because it's owned by Rupert Murdoch, and it's just a crappy website.

I am looking for these women that have a desire to be raped and or killed on MySpace. If you happen to find one please PM me.

If you are one of these women there is no need to look any further I can take care of you.

Funniest thing I've read all day!! :D

The answer is better education of myspace users. But even with tighter restrictions on what personal info people can publish, anyone who really wants it can get it. Social-manipulation can get you anything on the web, look at all the viruses that use it to infect systems.

Dougal.

Here's the thing. There are very few "real life" instances where a 45 year old man, a loner with paedophilic tendancies can interract with a niave 14 year old girl, who is curious about life.

I am not saying MySpace caters to this, but it certainly provides a forum that CAN be used this way.

Nice Comment. :D lol

Myspace is really just a great idea gone horribly horribly wrong. Despite all it's users, it does absolutely nothing to protect the user's privacy.

Honestly, I definantly would label this as myspace gone right: http://facebook.com/

I agree. MySpace is a great idea but the user's privacy needs to be more secure.

I voted "no" on shutting it down because it's just like chatrooms, forums, etc. except with a bio and pictures.

That is a good point, but any form of communication via the internet can be used this way. Should we shut down the internet?

As for real life - well yes it's harder, but still possible with some determination.

Are you serious. The fact is people will be killed with or without the help of myspace. The only thing that helps is when people post every single detail about themselves and what they will be doing and where they will be at. Makes stalking a bit easier. Should it be shut down no.. Nobody forces you to have a myspace and post your info. You can also set it up so you have a private profile.

yeah, that's true that murders and stuff could just use a different website or on the street but i think this is worse...people are finding other people they are attracted to on myspace and it's making them go crazy, they end up giving out their address and stuff...millions use the website and it happens a lot, it would stop a lot of crap goin on

I think it should clean up its act BIG TIME. There's a lot of really shady stuff going on there.

But I don't think it should be shut down because of something like this.
