Alright, I got a question for all of you.

So, I've Heard recently that the Xbox 360 will be released to the European Market within 18 months. Thats good news I guess, but I already have and X360 back at home in Canada (I'm currently living in Warsaw, PL now) So, I know that there are different regions for the Xbox360 and for the Games... Is it possible to switch the X360 to a different signal (from ntsc to Pal) and then play games that are in NTsc on a Pal Tv?

Or are there any tv's that support both the NTSC and PAL signals or could display those 2 signals?

Thanks :)

Oh and as for power, i have a converter for that :)

Most TVs in Europe now support PAL, SECAM and NTSC natively

Yeah, wow, is that a typo or is the Xbox360 really that ludicrously late in Europe?

I think Xbox360 already launched in Europe.

If the TV doesn't support it, there are converters (not Xbox 360-specific, rather Input/Output specific).

I think Xbox360 already launched in Europe.

Microsoft usually releases the console straight away in the larger countries who they know will buy it. Other smaller countries which are not interested in the xbox or consoles in general get it later (if ever).

It's the same for other continents too, not just Europe :)

By "18 months" they plan to have the console reeleased in all the countries they want to sell it in. It's quite similar to the way Xbox Live or iTunes was adapted..

well, actually from this news article, its in the end of 2007 :s

and Yeah, Its Eastern Europe that has like no consoles anyways

"Lewis identified Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland and Russia as key territories within Eastern Europe. He said that the Xbox 360 will go on sale in high street electronics retailers through deals with multinationals such as Media Markt and DSG International, as well as specialist retailers."

So yeah, The poorer European Countries still haven't have the console. I have yet to see any Xbox consoles here.. Just PSP's and PS2... which I'm really not a big fan of.

So the Tv's In Europe both support the NTSC and PAL signals? thats cool I suppose, can you name an example of a tv that can be found in Europe that can do that?

oh and here is the website for the actual link
