CuteNews Copyright

Question

fuBar.

I was wondering where this is located... For example, http://www.gantdesigns.com/index.php as you can see there is a CuteNews copyright at the bottom "Content Management Powered by CuteNews". All I want to do is try to modify it so it can fit with the website.

Thanks.

It probably is breaching some sort of terms of use or something by editing the copyright line in anyway.

That being said, you need to modify the inc/functions.inc.php file on line 461.

It's MD5 hashed so you cant search for it and for reason that you don't remove it. Leave the copyright in there or purchase it :)

Edit: Looks fine how it is there as it is :)

Eh? Where did ya get that from? :p

	// Do not remove the Copyrights!
	$skin_footer = preg_replace("/{copyrights}/", "<div style='font-size: 9px'>Powered by <a style='font-size: 9px' href=\"http://cutephp.com/cutenews/\" target=_blank>$config_version_name</a> ? 2005  <a style='font-size: 9px' href=\"http://cutephp.com/\" target=_blank>CutePHP</a>.</div>", $skin_footer);

It's right there (inc/functions.inc.php) in plain text, perfectly searchable.

Thanks, well apparently I fit the copyright w/ the div so it fits perfectly on the news content. I did not have to go searching for it! Thanks!

maybe you don't have the latest version or something.:wacko:: I remember going through the inc/functions.inc.php and finding it as a hash with huge comments around saying "DO NOT REMOVE".:pp

That or i'm seeing things:laugh::

That's not how hashing works, a can get a hash from a string, but not vice-versa. Even if you could do it, hashing the copyright notice is just retarded, what purpose could it possibly serve? Again, working on the basis it was possible, you could just change or remove the hash altogether.

/k
