Recommended Posts

Apple on Saturday released the first beta of iSync, keeping a promise made by CEO Steve Jobs at the Paris Expo to have the software out by the end of September.

With the iSync beta users can synchronize Address Book contacts and iCal calendars across Mac OS computers and devices, such as an iSync-compatible mobile phone, an iPod or a Palm OS device. You can also use iSync Public Beta to synchronize two or more Macintosh computers, using the Internet (.Mac membership required).

iSync is compatible with the Sony Ericsson T68i; Ericsson T68; Ericsson T39; Ericsson R520; any iPod with Software version 1.2 or higher; and Palm OS devices from Palm or Handspring running Palm OS 4.0 or later and Palm Desktop 4.0 or later for Mac OS X.

To synchronize between Macintosh computers you will need any PowerBook G4, iBook, iMac, eMac or Power Mac G4 running Mac OS X v.10.2.1 (.Mac membership required).

iSync will work on all computers running Mac OS X 10.2.1
