Intel PIV 2.0GHz 512K $265

Athlon XP 2200+ $269

Athlon is more expensive and slower than Intel. :cheeky:

No need to post picture of mine:

Intel PIV 2.00Ghz @ 2.01Ghz

512MB RAM

Dumbnut. :p Always Check pricewatch.

AMD Athlon XP 2200: $143.

Intel P4 2.0: $151 Socket 478-

Intel P4 2.0: $171

Also any performance differences are hotly debated. Espcially for 2.0 versus 2200.

P4's 2.53 are the proverbial sweet spot at around $215 at local shows. Here is my primary home pc "Borg3".

How do you get that Manufactured and Supported by on there??

http://www.fortunecity.com/victorian/updik...64/oemlogo.html explains how to do it.

To make a long story short, you make a file called OEMINFO.INF and add the lines+info to the lines like this then put the OEMINFO.INF file and in your C:WindowsSystem32 (or C:WINNTSYSTEM32) directory. You can have as many support information lines as you want. If you made it like this it would appear like this in your system properties.

[General]

Manufacturer=Your company name

Model=What you call your comp

[support Information]

Line1=http://www.neowin.net

Line2=http://www.activewin.com

This is how that will turn out.

esysprop.jpg

If you add a OEMLOGO.BMP file to the same directory you will get a picture in your system properties(of course it will be whatever the picture in OEMLOGO.BMP is).

IF YOU WANT SYSTEM INFO..AND LOGO..

you may want to change the logo picture.

download this file i made their are two files. theirs an oeminfo.ini file and an image file.

un zip and copy them into your "windows/system32" or winnt/system32" folder for win2k or xp. for windows 98 its "windows/system".

www.opper.com/ftp/oem.zip

Yea, the shipping will cost you more than the processor :s

I got that from my local computer store, and it is in CDN not USD.
