Im 16 ( bday was wednesday) my gf is 14 i know some people have a problem with that but no one will come and tell me it to my face! I love her, she loves me, whats the problem?

eh, as i understood: there is no upper age limit for sex with males, so a 20 yr old could be ****ing a 14 year old, legally!

What planet are you on?

The law states quite clearly that it's illegal to participate for heterosexuals and lesbians under the age of 16, if they are male or female.

I will not get in an argument about Lesbians as I know technically it's not classed as sexual intercourse or defined as sex.

Thats for another thread.

I think the law on buggery was lowered to 18 by this government. That applies to males and females.

If thats what they want I would just let them be. If your talking about a age difference there was a girl I knew (14) Who was going out with a guy who is 19 or 20. Around there. Now thats a pretty big difference.

16-13 is too young ... I mean, and those early ages people's there are a LOT of "mental/physical" differences between people. 16-19, 16-20, 17-22... those things are different since both are "adults".

But 16-13... I dont think so

I agree with that and I knew a boy that was 16 going out going with a 12/13 year old I most people thought it was wrong and they were breaking the law.

I'm 22 and went out with a 17 year old earlier this year.

It seems this thread is contentious because the guy is over the age of consent but the girl isn't. That doesn't mean they're going to do anything stupid. If they're both okay with it and they don't break any laws there's no problem.

That's different. Dating a 16 year old when you're 13 is both illegal and IMO sick. Once you get to ~17 most people have stopped growing. At 13 she's still a child.

And think in a different way. Imagine you as a parent. will you allow your child (who is 13 years old) going out with a 16 years old. If you will ok.. then that's fine. however i am sure most parent will disagree about it.

It's not acceptable.

The girl is underaged, not saying they have had sexual intercourse, if they have the boy should charged with being a paedophile and rape.

Far too many underaged girls in Britain are having children and the law is doing zip about it.

So even though they might not have had sex, he should be charged with rape?

Wow, quit snorting blocks.

Acceptable. One of the girls I like is turning 14 in a few weeks and I am 16 right now.. It all depends on who she is and all. Shes one of the funniest girls ive met and always cheers me up so..

I believe it was lowered to 16 to bring it in line with heterosexual laws, as it were.

I think it would be wrong in most cases. The difference between 13 and 16 is huge. I think expecting under 16s to remain 100% virginal and non-sexual is preposterous with all those very adult hormones but it is a FACT that most under 16s are not out there f***ing all day long.

Obviously the average 13 year old is alot more naive and vulnerable than the average 16 year old though and could be far too easy to pressure or manipulate.

It could be acceptable in some circumstances though. For example, if they grew up living next door to each other, good friends for years, parents all know each other, both mature enough not to do something stupid and both fairly serious.

I'd never let me daughter date anyone more than one year older than her, 16 is the age where all you want to do is get inside the girls pants, at 13 she has no idea what are a real relationship is.

I'd agree with something like 16-18 because at that age you know what's best for you. :)

If no sex, then I said accetable.

Canada had at one point, 12yrs as "age of sexual consent" it's been bumped to 14, and people are lobbying for it to be pushed back to 16.

Also in Canada it's three yrs ... 14 and 17 ok, 15 and 18 ok. 16 and 19 not ok (19yr old would be tried most likely for stat. rape) 17-20 frowned on by most.

I was unsure hence putting 18.

When I was younger it was 21.

So if it's 16 it must have been tories lowered it to 18 then the socialists to 16.

I think they also lowered lesbians from 18 to 16.

I am still not going to change my mind on underaged sex.

We as homo spaiens are supposed to be forward thinking not lowering ourselves into prehistoric thinking.

There are too many unwanted children and abortions going on without encouraging underaged sexual intercourse.

Thats why we have this chav problem, too many young girls having kids and fathers that could not give a hoot.

You wannabee a dad at 16 go for it, make sure I and the other tax payers don't have to pay for you and you have a job that can support a child in school and a child in nursery.

From my point of view it is totally wrong . . think about it 16yr (you able to get your drivers license) . . 13yr (you are just barely in junior high) . . nuff said. I'm not saying 3yrs difference is too large (30yrs vs 27yrs . . no big deal) , but at this age, the mentality and other differences are too great.

Why you being a plank.

I don't know if they have or not.

I won't accuse someone without evidence.

I was 16 once, 21 years ago.

I know that period is like on-heat time drastically on-heat time.

I know boys my age that were knocking up 13,14,15 year old girls.

If these boys want relationships then they should find girls their own age.
