»X«
but jesus didnt use a microwave at the last supper, and he didnt pull up in a Bentley for his crucifiction. This story could have been re-written to make sense. But the final straw was the force field. Its like something JK Rowling would write. When i saw this story on south park, I thought they were taking the ****. Now i realise its much more frightening.

»X«
Im not sticking up for religion. I think its abhorent. At least some parts of the bible are believable. This scientology story is just trash form start to finish. Its like a bad 80's sci fi movie staring Dolph Lundgren

thor777_au
how is man made from dirt, women from a rib, more "believable" then aliens seeded the earth? The Bible is the greatest Story ever told after all. ...Make that a companion piece to the other great books & you have yourself a money making scheme of a lifetime. Not to mention a reason to perpetrate some of histories greatest horrors.

xxdesmus
'ranasrule' I see no difference between Scientology or any of the other world Religions. The only difference is that 3.5 billion people* believe the monotheistic Religions of Islam, Christianity & Judiasm and a few thousand for Scientology. You think Scientologists belief's are weird? I think The Bible, Koran & the Torah are just as weird for the same reasons. * Estimate. Well said. I agree completely.
thor777_au
Well said. I agree completely. I think the majority of Sceptical, reasonable & sane people would agree. However this is not the case. I would like to echo the words of Richard Dawkins: (who was also echoing) "Religion makes good people to bad things". And to echo the sentiments of Sam harris: "For this Earth & its inhabitants to have a future, the gods must go the way of Thor, Osiris & Poseidon". I mean it's almost comical isn't it? Ask someone which God they believe in (thor et al) and they laugh at you, calling you insane. But ask them one of the gods which are currently in favour & they try and convert you! I sound like I am coming down pretty hard on 'ranasrule', but I simply want to use his post as an example. I wish to keep this topic open for discussion & would like to invite 'ranasrule' to respond, as well as any other person.
AMDMEFX-55
All I haft to say is God and God's do not exist its a waste of time. To prove my point try to find an accurate translation of the Bible. And also why would a perfect God want to make us for his pleasure he is perfect and why would God put the tree of knowledge where its shound not be. Why have a tree thats you can't eat off of and then tell someone no you cannot eat of this tree. And if Adam and Eve were perfect how were they decieve so easly. And why would God let pure evil in the garden of eden to deceived his creations then punish them for what God set them up to do. Why would a perfect God make us to suffer but then say the only way is him and say he gives us free choice thats not free choice no one really wants death after life. I just don't see how a perfect God can do that it's so man made its not even funny. Sorry if I affened anyone but its just what I think.
