What Do You Do To Keep Cool During The Summer?

Recommended Posts

what is the deal ?

i've lost count of posts from people from canada complaining about how "hot" it is...

it was 93 Fahrenheit here in Texas today, and i consider myself lucky since it was cooler than usual. (33.8888889 degrees Celsius = 93 F )

to keep cool ? - central air. and ice water.

au contraire; i went to pittsburg a few years ago, and was shocked to see people complaining how cold it was. there was people in winterjackets and i was out there in a spring jacket still. this is in january too by the way. and people shoveling their driveways with 1 cm of snow on it. horrors;)

I'm on my laptop on my backyard patio. Breezy winds blowing onto my face + light rain = one happy man!

Wouldn't the rain kill your laptop?

A typical house fan blowing on a big block of ice.

Seriously though, an AC was one of the best things I bought. It's so humid here that's the big problem so when you sleep, if you got no AC, you'll be sweating and rolling and turning left/right and going nuts trying to sleep with fans moving hot air from 1 corner to another. I know, this description didn't help..

Open teh windows, open the windows from the bottom if possible. If you have one of them translucent blinds, pull them down all the way, but leave space for air to get through. Drink alot of FRESH orange juice with crushed ice... mhmmm... And have tea, if you have hot tea, it will keep you cool, seriously.... Look it up on google or wikipedia.

We seldom/never get more than 28-29C and humidity around 50-60% around here, so it is not bad at all.

Then I wear light clothes, stay in the shadow and drink cold water. Thats about it... :)
