Rowain Share Posted July 24, 2006 I really would love to pursue a career in diagnostic radiography when I'm out of school, but I've hit a bit of a snag. I've heard that some medical conditions will stop you from being able to work in a radiology department. Does anyone know what these conditions are, or where a list of them can be found? Thanks. crimsonhands Share Posted July 24, 2006 (edited) probably best place to start looking would be Royal College of Radiologists http://www.rcr.ac.uk/ or here http://www.nhscareers.nhs.uk/careers/spotl...adiography.html best of luck by the way mate! steve Edited July 24, 2006 by steviec82
John Veteran Share Posted July 24, 2006 Probably only serious conditions that make you particularly vulnerable to radiation. Call or go into a radiology center and let them know you're interested in a career in that field (not particularly at their company) and heard something about this. Ask if they know anything about it and could give you some details.
Rowain Author Share Posted July 24, 2006 Well as a matter of fact I am going to a hospital for a couple of days so I can see what the radiologists do and all that. I guess I'll ask then if I can't find the answer on the web. Thanks for the links and the luck, Steve ;)
