axis
I saw this on a site that is currently down right now but I still got a hold of the file. It is version 3.0B build 488, but I do not know if this is an official release or leaked version. It loads faster, closes instantly and pops up instantly. It seems to be all around faster, and the installer is about 400k smaller then the initial release of 3.0 final. I do not want to have my server get slammed, so if someone wants to host it you can pm me or something and I will upload it or get it to you somehow. axis
Ok atomb well you believe that, but there were code changes, big ones. That is why it is 400k smaller then the origianl release, and no it doesn't put AOL icons anywhere, but I don't remember the first one doing it either. This version is WAY faster, so changes were made. I tell you guys what, I will host this file for about 20-30 minutes and then take it offline because I do not want to ruin my bandwidth. I will edit this post and post the link when it is uploaded.

Xci7e
Source Fileconnect.netNote: The version number is identical as the previous version and generally it is identical. The file size will be smaller because the AOD (AOL On Desktop) has been removed and a flaw has also been plugged ive downloaded it but not testet yet tomorrow morning i want to know if it is faster than the official wa3 ;)
cakcura
I have downloaded the latest version from www.winamp.com. It has 3.0b build #488 as version number. So it is not a leaked version :)

As far as i understand, this version is new. This release has a setup file size of 3.167.880 bytes. The previous release had a setup file size of 3.510.536 bytes. So this one is not the original release that you have. :)

Miran
This is wierd... Not like Winamp to release a new version without mentioning it... It's still not fast enough though...

drdoogs8
I downloaded it, and I got tired of the crashes. I went back to the previous build that I was running. Yes, if it were only faster......I think I'm getting close to going back to 2.xx
Toxikk Veteran Posted October 13, 2002 Veteran Share Posted October 13, 2002 i wish the menus for the classic skin were like the 2.x menus.... it just uses the os specific windows and not winamps own. if they change that and make it quicker id use 3 no doubt. till then 2.x is just so fast and matches my system more, i use it.
