SMB3 SNES Save Games.

The only Super Mario All-Star game that allowed you to save level-by-level was Super Mario Bros Lost Levels (which is by far the hardest mario bros game).

In the SMB3 game if you beet level 2 and saved on world 1 then when you continued you would have to start all over. Only after you defeat a fortress does a lock door in the path dissapear and when you continue your game you are able to bypass previous levels. And that is how it worked on the SNES and NES except the SNES allowed you to save and continue later between power cycles while the NES did not let you save the game.

Thank you :)

Well, if you own the game, you can legally download a ROM and Emulator and save it wherever you like using save states :p

I sold my SNES long ago :(, and i'm now actually using SNES9X. Save states was the reason I asked this, just to know if im cheating when using those :). So I have to use "Save and Continue" from now on in game.
