Recording a streaming

Question

Manos    0

How can I record a streaming (Shoutcaster server) of an Online radio station? I know the exact server's IP and want to save the streaming to an .mp3 file. I tried to do it through VLC Media Player but I can't make it!

Can someone suggest me an other recording program or show me a complete noob step-to-step guide with VLC Media Player?

I think this should be in software.

Anyway, if VLC plays it then I think it plays on the wave channel. So just go to recording preferenfeces, select wave and record with your sound recorder of choice.

Then just use WinLAME or whatever to convert to mp3.
