Digitalx
Hey i'm not sure if its been posted around but apparently this has been leaked on the internet and contains all features from the previewed version at WWDC except custom backgrounds on iChat. I can confirm I have seen it up for download, but I am not downloading it myself. I know its against the rules to post links. I don't think there is any major news articles about them but heres a SS aparently. http://img212.imageshack.us/img212/7008/91...439060c3vi8.jpg http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/7007/picture1uw9.png http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/2748/picture1sa4.png http://img151.imageshack.us/img151/6442/picture1zg6.png hopefully not against rules to post ss's ? ... no sure ... SionicIon
I thought they were gonna have a better UI or something different, I guess not, I wonder what OS11 is gonna be like? :)
AppleDave Veteran Posted August 13, 2006 Veteran Share Posted August 13, 2006 Why wont apple add a dang tab button to Safari how the heck did this get leaked.....
Hurmoth
I am not sure about this, but I suspect that this is the same build that was given to developers early last week. I have a feeling Apple did not include those "top secret" items in that build, which is why we haven't heard anything about them.
Windam
I wonder if this leaked build is locked from running on any x86 machine.

Digitalx
lol like windows vista build 5112  i've just been reading some sites have been asked to remove screen shots. unfortunatly this may happen in this case. but i have them hosted on imageshack so nothing neowin can really do besides remove the links. if worst case scenario happens. Matt T
Those screenshots seem a bit strange to me. Aren't the Spaces and Time Machine icons meant to be in the dock by default? And why (in screenshot 4) does it only say "Time" rather than "Time Machine"?
Digitalx
this is a preview beta developers build Matt, not everything will be perfect. Edited August 13, 2006 by Digix
yudi_lks
And the spotlight icon is also strange... There is a dot inside of the magnifying glass... If Apple changes it, what does it really signify?

Matt T
this is a preview beta developers build Matt, not everything will be perfect. So you're suggesting that a developer typed "Time" and then thought "bugger it, it's only a BETA, there's no need to type 'Machine' too"?
The.Clinton
How come some of the images say startup disk leopard and others say startup disk os x leopard :shifty: personally, i think someone is just very good a photochop Those screenshots seem a bit strange to me. iigloo
And the spotlight icon is also strange... There is a dot inside of the magnifying glass... If Apple changes it, what does it really signify? That dot has been in Spotlight in Tiger too, it shows while Spotlight is indexing your computer

lieb39
Well the leak has offically been spread.. All the same story - it's the devolper's edition, and it's spreading like wildfire over the beauiful torrent network.. I'm curious what Apple will do about it - I suspect that they've been expecting this.. Cheers.
