Island Roots
What are some good and reliable stores for Apple products? E.g. http://www.macmall.com Also, what are the disadvantages of purchasing an Apple product through one of these websites via purchasing it at the Apple store? I'm browsing around for iBooks (won't be getting one in the near future, though).
Chad
I'm actually in the market for a new ibook too. The new speed bumps are supposed to come out Nov 6th. So only a couple days away. As far as disadvantages, I don't know of any. Most retailers will give you a better deal than Apple. Ie, a free printer, free ram etc. Macmall is one. Macconnection, macwarehouse, maczone, smalldog, i think buy.com sells mac stuff. I bought my PMac from Macconnection back in April. Ordered the computer on monday, got it by friday. Island Roots
Do you still have all the support options from Apple as if you had bought it from their own store?

Chad
Do you still have all the support options from Apple as if you had bought it from their own store? Yup. All warranties and support is the same. As long as it isn't a refurbished system.

Silvorgold
macwarehouse.com usually includes some freebies with a mac purchase (stuff like free ram, free scanner, etc), but they rarely give anything free up here in canada :(
Island Roots
macwarehouse.com usually includes some freebies with a mac purchase (stuff like free ram, free scanner, etc), Yeah, that's why I'm looking into these 3rd party Apple retailers; the freebies are looking mighty fine...especially the RAM upgrades.
