Andy07
Hi, The Tv i ordered has a DVI socket i was wondering if anyone here has ever used one for PC monitor and what is the quality like compared to actual PC TFTs.
bangbang023 Veteran Posted September 5, 2006 Veteran Share Posted September 5, 2006 Some TV's don't show the PC over the DVI as well as they do VGA. I know someone on these forums has a Samsung LCD and he couldn't get full resolution unless he used the VGA connector.
Julius Caro
I have a sony bravia and the max resolution it will accept from the VGA thing is 1280x768 instead of 1366x768... so I'm losing some pixels there. I tried setting the output resolution the TV's native but it wouldn't work. And it would only do horizontal expanding, so I don't think it would upscale a 1280x720 resolution to fit the whole screen area. I've always wondered if DVI>HDMI would do the trick in 720p.
