Dominican0 Posted September 17, 2006 Share Posted September 17, 2006 So yesterday I bought my mom's boyfriend a HP Pavilion dv8301 laptop....a nice general laptop for everyday common use.... When it tries to connect to my home wireless network, it says connecting to the network...but then thats all. No error messages, nothing...the dialog box disappears and it doesnt connect to the network and can't get online at all. What could be wrong?? Titanium_NX Posted September 19, 2006 Share Posted September 19, 2006 More detail is needed, What router do you have, does it have protection enabled? is it open or shared? did you configure the laptop right? is the SSID right? can you ping the router? do you have a IP address?
