obsolete_power
How's the game performance, does it lag? Anyway, does it have an activation process like WinXP's? Yep, this one has the activation that you have to do after installation. You have to connect to the server just like WinXP and activate. About the lag issues, they are certainly better than the first demo and the BETA but it is a little choppy here and there. Also, the tower controller function is pretty awesome although it does have a learning curve and in-game voice is cool too.

Cool, I cannot wait to lay my hands on it. :D Anyway, if you can handle Flight Sim 2004, you'll be able to fly in FSX smoothly. Although you do have to handle the lag spikes.
obsolete_power
I don't know why in canada it comes out so early. For a game that says "Made in USA" I'd expect the US to receive it first, not last.

obsolete_power
seventy jr bacon cheeseburgers... Alright! Enough with the price comparisons! :p I don't eat hamburgers and neither should anyone else so I don't see why it would matter what FSX's value is in terms of hamburgers, cheeseburgers and frosties! KzR
Hehe, I am just surprised by the fact that it has taken them this long to put the activation requirement in flight simulator. The previous version of Flight Simulator was released in 2004. Online activation just started out then, and I guess Microsoft wasn't really confident to implement it on more of its products. But after the successful implementation on WinXP, they'll definitely implement it on all of their future products.

obsolete_power
2 walmarts I visited had the standard version on the shelf, but when I tried to buy it I got shut down. What a shame! Yeah, my buddy went to Wal Mart, picked up a standard copy off the shelf but he was able to purchase it even if they told him they weren't allowed. He was just lucky I guess. VipeNess
If its on the shelf, and has a price tag, they should sell it... :p well i was the one that got it from walmart. i just went in 1 day, and saw it was on the shelf. so then i grabbed it, and went to do a price check. the price checker wasnt working, so i called a buddy and asked him what the price of the game was, if it would make my bi-weekly budget and it did, so i was like yeah baby, but then he told me that it it was not on sale yet. I was like; oh snap. so i just said well it is on the shelf, lets checkout n e ways, no way im putting this back, ive waiting too long. So we checked out in lawn and garden and they let me go with it, for 49.88. they couldnt scan it or anything, but the manager just overrided the transaction because it was not in inventory, but when he took it back to electronics they had the price for it on an inventory paper, which was the price above. he came back, and rung it up. i said thank you, they said your welcome. GREAT GAME btw
RGSPro
all the people I tried to check out with it were friendly at first, like "ohhh, this happens all the time", and then they figure out that its not released yet and they snap at me like a thief... "we can get fined ten thousand dollars if we sell this to you"... If its not released yet, then why did you put it on the shelf? I think this "release date" thing is crap. Once the store has it, they should be able to sell it.
