VipeNess
If its not released yet, then why did you put it on the shelf? I think this "release date" thing is crap. Once the store has it, they should be able to sell it. yep

macrosslover
all the people I tried to check out with it were friendly at first, like "ohhh, this happens all the time", and then they figure out that its not released yet and they snap at me like a thief... "we can get fined ten thousand dollars if we sell this to you"... If its not released yet, then why did you put it on the shelf? I think this "release date" thing is crap. Once the store has it, they should be able to sell it. they should have had it in the backroom/stockroom if they were scared of breaking the release date but once they put it on the shelf, technicially they already have broken the street date so they might as well sell it anyway cause the damage is done. RGSPro
this thing lags your PC like a motha. X-Plane 8 looks better and runs much smoother in comparison to what your PC will be able to do with FSX.

Michael_C
any chance to play this with keyboard and mouse? You can but it is a crappy experience. You'd be way better off buying FS2004 and spend the money you saved on a cheap joystick.

You'd be way better off buying FS2004 and spend the money you saved on a cheap joystick. No way, I would save up for Flight Simulator X and a good joystick. Buying cheap things is never a good idea. If you want a good experience then you must buy good quality hardware. If you are really serious then you could buy a flight yoke and throttle quadrant. VipeNess
any chance to play this with keyboard and mouse? actually the first time i installed it, i had just redid my machine for the game once i got it from walmart, and didnt install the joystick just yet, i will tell you, flying with the keyboard is a pain, but if you right click in the window then go to mouse yoke, it is super duper super easy to fly the aircraft, easier than joystick, and i think they did that on purpose to get more interested non-flying customers to start playing, and then into a joystick. they also designed it also for a game pad to fly perfectly too, which i tested it out. the game is about the same size when it comes to Normal and Deluxe Edition. just about 100 megs off. obsolete_power
Yes, pretty much the only difference is 6 planes out of which, only 3 are actually different aircraft, the other 3 are just another Mooney Bravo, Cessna 172 and Beechcraft Baron with the Garmin G1000 Glass Cockpit. Next there are 20 more missions in the Deluxe, the Tower Controller ability and the extra high detailed airports.

"we can get fined ten thousand dollars if we sell this to you"... If its not released yet, then why did you put it on the shelf? I think this "release date" thing is crap. Once the store has it, they should be able to sell it. Wal*Mart is retarded. At my store we aren't allowed to put it on the shelf until the release date (almost always on Tuesdays). The boxes they come in have huge stickers that say STREET DATE and then the date of release. A monkey couldn't miss it. And yes, the store gets fined heavily if things are sold before the street date and therefore the person who slipped up and put it on the shelf gets reprimanded. Also, as soon as the merchandise comes off the truck its in our system (meaning it can be sold). It amazes me that Wal*Mart has made so much with a moronic inventory system. They could drop their prices so much more if they did things efficiently and smarter. The reason they aren't sold before the release date is so that all stores have an equal chance at selling media. Our store gets street date items a week or two before release most of the time and that would kill smaller retailers who may get them much closer to a release date. Its also a marketing tactic.
