IE7.0 RTM vs Firefox 2.0/1.5 & Opera

Recommended Posts

I was a firefox to IE7 convert the first time i tried IE7.

Can't really explain why.

It does what i need and i like the feel of it.

My coworker on the other hand seems to want to stay with firefox.

To each their own.

Opera most of the time and IE7 for Windows Update and checking my hotmail from MSN Messenger. FF only to check pages in different browsers when developing because it doesn't have as many features as Opera out of the box and i don't have time to go and look for all of the extensions i would need.

Definately Firefox 2rc3

and when i started it for the first time it crashed and i had to reset but it crashed again

so Firefox is my choise

And as above way way better :p

Firefox more than likely...

I haven't yet tried out IE7, I run Win2k at work (which IE7 isn't compatible with) and I only have dial-up at home atm so I couldn't be bothered wasting time downloading it!

relax dude. If FF was integrated into the OS then the same thing would happen. I had to reboot twice even though the second reboot doesn't really count. And plus, what's the big deal with rebooting your pc? Just install it after you're done on any important stuff.

I prefer Opera over IE7 and FF. I found I have problems over Shockwave plugins with Opera so when that happens I just switch over to IE7. I use Opera as my primary browser and use IE7 for stuff like hotmail, live spaces and viewing sites with shockwave content. I'm pretty happy with IE7, it crashes less than Opera (maybe because I use Opera more :p)
