Quick Shot
Null Vote. I don't see a difference other than it resuming from the page it crashed on.

Pink Floyd Veteran Posted October 25, 2006 Veteran Share Posted October 25, 2006 A little for me I still fine opera's Wand far superior to any firefox addon. Autologin rarely works, remember password directly from firefox will not remember banking account and some of the sites I visit.
seta-san
is there a difference. Seems the same to me as 1.5 might just be me.
macro
A little for me I still fine opera's Wand far superior to any firefox addon. Autologin rarely works, remember password directly from firefox will not remember banking account and some of the sites I visit. Some secure sites like banking disable it from their end, it's not the browsers fault. It shouldn't remember it for other browsers either, I remember my own banking site informing me about that when they added the change on their end. As for me I think it's nice, I literally just noticed the spell check while I was making this post lol. But I liked that it kept everything updated for me, like my themes and extensions, it runs about the same but the only thing that's annoyed me is the Go button just because its attached to the address bar for some stupid reason, it would be nice to remove it but I guess I'll wait for the extension. Errrr add-on rather.
h3xis
is there a difference. Seems the same to me as 1.5 might just be me. Seriously. I don't see why everyone is getting their panties in a wad over its release. It's the same...just with a different set of icons, minor tabbing changes, and the spell checker. pyehac
I wouldn't say I love it, but if they put the close tab button on a static location, then that'd be great (I hated the way Opera and IE7 did that) although it helps by dimming the other tabs. You can easily do that by installing Tab Mix Plus extension. Download it at http://tmp.garyr.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3515 Then go into Tools -> Tab Mix Plus Options -> Display -> Tab Bar....there you can select the option to display the "close button" at the end of the tab bar. John S. Veteran Posted October 25, 2006 Veteran Share Posted October 25, 2006 I gave it a try and will keep it for the handful of pages that won't open in Safari correctly, but no, it's not my daily driver.
Andrew Lyle Global Moderator Posted October 25, 2006 Global Moderator Share Posted October 25, 2006 there isn't a whole lot of facial improvement.. i don't notice a huge improvement, it must be all code-wise. I like it though.. it's a little bit different, and i prefer how 1.5.0.7 functioned, such as close buttons and tabs, other then that, it's cool. I also noticed firefox 2 updated itself today. The spell check is at the bottom of the right click now, and the "add-ons" is at the bottom of the list too
eilegz
firefox 2 works great of course some extensions dont work but after using nightly tester tool everything works fine
mindtrick
Didn't crash once for days. Love it! If only I could find a better theme.
MulletRobZ
It's still great enough for me to use even on a Mac. Just apply the GrApple (Eos Pro) theme and it's almost like Safari. But still, Firefox does have a few issues on the Mac such as not rendering certain QuickTime movies properly.
thecableguy
I love Firefox, but I don't love Firefox 2.0 and anymore than I love Firefox 1.5. The only changes I like about 2.0 is the theme, the search extension manager, and the spell check.
Brodel
Does anyone know if it's possible to remove the tab list button so that you can have all your tabs listed at the top instead of some going into the drop down menu on the right? anyone please? jtchange
I don't necessarily love it, but I do like keeping up with the newer versions and it seems to be doing pretty well. I don't see too many modifications that are noticeable to the eye except for updated icons and such, but it's still nice.
