LunarFalcon
Just gotta add that firefox 2.0 looks amazing with the Vista transformation pack and the tiny menu extension enabled... And seriously, enough with the jokes about how you should love a woman and not a browser, it's been said about 40 times in this thread. I think everyone knows what the guy meant!
yisman
the spell checker has issues. Where can I report this? It reports "should've" as a typo.

LunarFalcon
The menu bar is actually there, I just moved all the icons up one line, and removed the nav bar. I used the tiny menu extension to move the 'file, edit, etc...' to the menu button on the right side

instant.human
there is one thing that really ****es me of, a minor whatever but when i perform a "site search" by just entering words on a plain website i cant do that "search below" thingy, you know? with firefox 1.5 which i used until a few minutes it was no problem. so if i do a google search for "everything", to have a word which comes often enough, and just type "everything" it only detects one word and i cant search down... you know what i mean? can anybody help me? also, my "ctrl+s" for sending posts doesnt work anymore but im sure i can setup that. but how? thanks! The_Decryptor Veteran Posted November 1, 2006 Veteran Share Posted November 1, 2006 No, not really, i have a life. It's a good browser, but it's just that, a browser. One thing that annoys me about FF2 is the site search bar, i prefer how FF1 and 1.5 did it (they showed the normal find bar, FF2 shows one with less options)
HoochieMamma
I love it so much I want to bare it's children.... On a serious note, the spell checker doesn't work for me until I install the British dictionary extension. Isn't it inbuilt?
Julius Caro
No, not really, i have a life. It's a good browser, but it's just that, a browser. One thing that annoys me about FF2 is the site search bar, i prefer how FF1 and 1.5 did it (they showed the normal find bar, FF2 shows one with less options) I hate that the find bar is longer. I used to put the find bar at the right of the bookmarks bar, because at first I would always confuse the address bar and the find bar. Now everything has a find bar there, so I'm used to it anyway. And I don't love FF 2 more than I liked the previous versions. Firefox2 is fine, with good features and that's all.
The_Decryptor Veteran Posted November 1, 2006 Veteran Share Posted November 1, 2006 I mean the one that shows down the bottom of the screen when you type on the page, i like the new find bar.

justlooking
I know their slogan was "it's more than a browser, it's a lifestyle" , but dammit, it's just a browser. A browser with alot of code from an old Netscape browser. Truth is it's slower than Opera and a shell like Maxthon for most people although they won't admit it. I use it and like it, but no love here unless it grows a pair of massive hooters.
Max Veteran Posted November 1, 2006 Veteran Share Posted November 1, 2006 Its cool. I use both IE and Firefox the same so an upgrade is always welcomed.

I 100% prefer, recommend and support Maxthon. 100% agree :) i installed, opened and browsed to neowin with it and then closed it i have to say i just prefer maxthon
+.Aaron Subscriber¹ Posted November 1, 2006 Subscriber¹ Share Posted November 1, 2006 I agree with skiver and Raa. Maxthon is the best browser. It is the not extensions needed browser. There are more options for security (ad and popup blocking) than FF will ever have even with 10 extensions So no I do not like Firefox even with green eggs and ham.
