spacer
If anyone would like to add me as a friend for either co-op or anything else: Squirrelwithnut None of my family members or RL friends have a 360, so my friends list is currently sitting at a big fat zero. I just got my 360 last week.
Matrix XII
Playing online with a friend definitely makes it more fun I'd say, because it feels like you are going through the war together.

I just got my 360 last week. Read this thread, it is about Neowin members getting together on the weekends (for now, will eventually make it during the week as well) to get together an play some multiplayer matches. So if you are interested in joining us, then send me a friend invite. We should hopefully have a website for it up and running within a week or so I would imagine. Huleboeren
how do know see if theres someone in your co-op game? I know theres a notice when the player joins and you can press the guide button to see the other person's gamer profile - but other than that? RevelMore
Beware guys, one of my friends caught a virus while playing Gears Of War on Xbox Live. He had to take his 360 to a factory to get it fixed. Wouldn't want that to happen to any of you. :Edit: Can't wait to play this game, just waiting for my system to arrive. There are no viruses on XBOX Live, this is another moronic user who blames anything that goes wrong with a computer/console/phone on a virus. And take it to a factory? Did he travel to China or East Europe. Chances are the XBOX live update caused the problem as it seems to have with 1% -2% of the ones sold. I have updated 2 now with no problems, 1 one's drive stopped working a week later and was replaced by microsoft.
Remysaus
For some of you that do not know....go to options and then audio/video choose the VIBRANT setting...this setting does seem to improve the graphics and colors dramatically....you can access it in the main menu or by hitting the start button.....the default is like normal...VIBRANT is like awesome....don't know why it is not the factory setting to start with....let us know what you think.... http://forums.xbox.com/8118459/ShowPost.aspx
DirtyLarry Veteran Posted November 14, 2006 Veteran Share Posted November 14, 2006 I will chime on on the whole Vibrant Graphics option... I chose it as well and I never changed it back...I think it looks a lot better myself. Everything has just a little more life to it. I am using a HDTV, not and LC either, and I noticed a difference. Trong
This is probably the best game ever since BF2:MC. I'm having so much fun playing it online. And I can play with one of my friends again! He could never join my games before. I only like to play it when I play with friends though. I can't stand playing in games with people I don't know. They are either too quiet or don't try out my plans. I like being able to talk without being yelled at for talking too much.
RevelMore
lol, yea, a virus. Well don't be so quick to judge, like i said, this happened to my friend. And he said it was was a virus but it could just be a failure in the system because by the way he describes it, the system won't start up after the Xbox logo. I'm not saying that it was a virus, in fact it probably wasn't. I'll let him know it might be a problem with his system. Nevertheless, it's being replaced. And what i meant by factory is i guess a headquarters where the systems are processed. It had to be taken there and is being examined.
spenser.d
I'm not positive, but I'm almost sure that because of the mechanics of XBL, it's just not possible to get a virus, unless MS created one and uploaded it to the XBL servers. But as I said...I'm no expert. -Spenser

But as I said...I'm no expert. -Spenser You're pretty much correct. It's a closed network/system and Microsoft checks and certifies every last thing that goes up on the Marketplace. That, and the fact that the Xbox 360 does not run any normal OS per-say. So the chances of a virus getting on to the 360 is virtually impossible. Cool... if it looks better on DLP it should look better on my SXRD... but like someone said.. if it looks better on all these TV's... why wasnt it the default? It was not the default look because they wanted people to have that more washed out look as that is the overall tone of the game itself. At least that is my educated guess on it all.
