Ayepecks
Damn, this last boss is killing me. I gave it a shot for 15 minutes or so, but I'm not going to get frustrated over it today. I'm a little late, but I've been playing the game with what little free time I've got.

Ayepecks
Spoke too soon about the last level, lol... I decided to try it on casual and beat it immediately, then went back to hardcore and beat it again too. Got kind of lucky on the hardcore option when I won... I just gave up on the stupid sniper shots and went straight to the Lancer and only used it. Then I ran out of ammo for it, and waited for him to come up to the barrier and blind-shot him with the sniper rifle and killed him. It's easiest if you just shoot him with the lancer like normal in the face when the bats are gone, then wait for him to get near the barrier and hopefully get stuck -- when this happens just blind-shoot him with anything you've got. I just moved straight back and forth between the two main barriers, too.
Inplode
Beware guys, one of my friends caught a virus while playing Gears Of War on Xbox Live. He had to take his 360 to a factory to get it fixed. Wouldn't want that to happen to any of you. :Edit: Can't wait to play this game, just waiting for my system to arrive. hahaha ! please oooh pleae share what you and your "friend" is smoking ! I'm a little late, but I've been playing the game with what little free time I've got. It's so much easier on co-op! Send me a message and I'll be happy to hop in with you wherever you are on the level. I love GoW co-op. :D
neoadorable
only played so far up to when they find A squad all butchered...is it just me or is the game really quite repetitive? this isn't meant as a dig or annoyance, just honest question. it's also very hard...the locust keep trying to flank! Repetitive? Gears of War? Whaaaaaaaaaaaa? In the sense that it's a shooter and pretty much all you do is shoot, then yes, it's repetitive. But in the sense that every battle is different because, as you said, "the Locust keep trying to flank," then no, it isn't. It's a difficult game, but once you get a handle on the controls it'll feel more natural and easier to play. Suggestion: if you aren't, make sure you crank it up to Hardcore. Casual just doesn't cut it.
Elliott
only played so far up to when they find A squad all butchered...is it just me or is the game really quite repetitive? this isn't meant as a dig or annoyance, just honest question. it's also very hard...the locust keep trying to flank! That's not alpha squad. :p And I didn't find the game repetitive at all. The cover-and-fire gameplay is tactical, so it's not just "pop up and shoot." It's "jump from cover to cover to flank a troika attempting to tear down your squad."
neoadorable
hmm i see what you guys are saying and maybe i'm not getting GOW, but to me it feels a lot like Killzone, which is fine for fun shooting action, but nothing trailblazing. The AI is quite smart tho. ANOTHER IMPORTANT QUESTION: i got to the second seeder (act 1) and have yet to encounter a single occurence of the F word. does anyone remember if any of these cropped up by that stage? Remysaus
Finally bought it yesterday and damn was it worth the wait :D I played for 9 hours straight (almost wet myself ) then I grabbed soom food, took my 360 to a friend of mine and we played co-op on split screen all night long, I've found my new halo  *goes back to playing

It's a shooter, it's going to involve a lot of shooting. I disagree anyway, there's so many different gameplay elements to try it's as fun as you make it. I just completed the driving part, that in itself was fun as hell.

stanley porkchop
Yeah I just done it, was awesome :D Five minutes of driving a slow moving vehicle across a pretty straightforward track isn't exactly what I'd call "awesome," but it was a change of pace. Personally I think they just put it in there to say that the game had "vehicular combat."

Let me know when you find a game which is 3rd person shooter which you don't have to shoot all the time. No really this game is a shooter if you or anybody are expecting anything more then you are mistaken. About the locust trying to flank, it's one of the best AI up to date that I have seen. Usally I can predict the AI, where they are going next (actually all the gamers can). But In GOW I have to keep rethinking all the time. First thing you have to do is to hide behind the walls no matter what, I usally go run and gun but with this game I have to change trust me I finished in Casual, Hardcore and now I am on Insane in Act 4. You will need that strategy in Act 5.
.KICK
I've seen several mistakes in my game with the AI. I sometimes see locust just standing in front of me and doing nothing. But it does let me bring the chainsaw out and make them into little pieces :)
Neo003
True but you can over look that kinda problem by pure game play.
